These incredibly decorative antique wooden shutters are likely to have originated from Rajasthan or Gujarat, where hand-carved architectural panels like these were traditionally used on courtyard homes. Made from solid hardwood and finished in beautiful grey old lime-based paint, later naturally burnished by time and exposure, they show all the hallmarks of genuine 19th–early 20th century workmanship: hand-forged iron fittings, carved central stiles, old tool marks and that chalky patina only time can create. Each shutter stands at around 150cm tall, making them really versatile – perfect as wall art, decorative room dividers, a unique headboard, shop display backdrop, or simply leaned as sculptural rustic décor.
