Pair of Cast Stone Horse Head Finials

A very decorative pair of cast stone horse head finials, well modelled and a good sized matched left- and right-facing pair. Each head is raised on a rope-twist base, quite typical of classical revival style garden ornaments. The surfaces have attractive natural weathering and lichen growth, giving them age and character. Could be use as pier caps, gatepost finials, stable setting or garden sculpture, but could also be very effective used indoors as decorative architectural elements.
